Welcome to the Melbourne Emergency & Critical Care Students Society - a group committed to enriching the learning experiences of all MD students. we aim to not only contribute to the learning in emergency, intensive care and anaesthetics rotations but to also inspire a passion for these fields that students can hold onto throughout their careers.

Established in 2018, as the melbourne emergency student society (MESS), in april 2024 we have officially transitioned into the melbourne emergency & Critical care students SOCIETY (MECCSS). MEccSS provides lectures and workshops that supplement the critical care curriculum and aim to educate and inspire students for what critical care is all about.

Our goal is to create opportunities for improving practical skills and gaining useful clinical information efficiently that instils confidence when seeing patients and working in a team environment.
